The color guard is the dance and choreographed group of performers who use different types of equipment – such as a rifle, saber, and flag – to enhance the visual and conceptual aspects of marching band during the fall season and compete by themselves in the winter months.

Fall color guard is the central visual component of the Spring Hill Marching Band.  Flags, rifles, sabers and dance combine to make a thrilling visual experience for our audience.  Membership is open to all 9th-12th grade students.  Auditions occur each spring for the following fall.

Winter color guard, called winter guard, consists of two performing ensembles: Junior Varsity and Varsity.  Membership is by audition and occurs in late fall for the following season.  Membership is open to all 8th-12th grade students.

The color guard is under the direction of Lori Gaskins.
